Dr. Penry joined San Diego Imaging Medical Group in 2016. He is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with the American Board of Radiology, with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology.  Dr. Penry received his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, majoring in molecular biology. He earned his MD at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. After completing a Transitional Year Internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital, he completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mayo Clinic Florida.  He subsequently completed his Diagnostic Neuroradiology Fellowship at UCLA Medical Center.  His areas of interest include stroke, oncology, trauma, sports medicine, cardiac, and emergency imaging.
