DEXA – Bone Density Study

img-dexa

Bone Densitometry (DEXA – Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry) is an imaging technology that safely, accurately and painlessly measures bone density and mineral content of the spine, hip, and wrist in order to determine the risk of developing osteoporosis.

Considered the most reliable measurement of bone density, DEXA scans are used for both assessment of potential osteoporosis risk and for follow-up serial measurements.

San Diego Imaging provides DEXA scanning at the following outpatient centers:

San Diego Imaging – Chula Vista
619.397.6577
San Diego Imaging – Escondido
760.743.3873
